“Blue Army”, a representative of Soccer Pro indoor football ground at Soi On Nut 17, today reign majestically in the final match of “Gatorade 5v5 Football 2019” youth football competition as they consecutively secure championship title by scoring seven goals. The team will represent Thailand in “Gatorade UCL Final 5v5 Experience”, the final stage of Gatorade’s annual youth football tournament in Madrid, Spain.

The final showdown of “Gatorade 5v5 Football 2019” 5-a-side youth football tournament is a match between Blue Army from Soccer Pro at Soi On Nut 17 and Futwork FC from Futwork Futsal Club. As a defending champion, Blue Army take a lead in less than a minute into the game. Futwork FC struggle to play in their own pace but they concede two more goals to the opponent. Blue Army thus take a 3-0 lead at the end of first half.

On second half, Blue Army have a fiery start as they score once again from a swift ball cross. Futwork FC gain notable possession after a break and they have many scoring attempts but Blue Army, a tournament veteran, can clear the ball away and perform continuous counter-attack moves. After the final whistle, the final score is 7-0 to Blue Army so the title remains with the holder.

Tuangporn Siriwatwitoon, Marketing Manager for Beverages of PepsiCo Services Asia Co., Ltd., presides the awarding ceremony on behalf of Gatorade sports drink.  Blue Army receive a trophy and a cash prize of 30,000 bath as a winning team. They are additionally entitled to join “Gatorade UCL Final 5v5 Experience” on 28 May – 3 June in Madrid, Spain, as they are going to show their footballing talents against 21 opponents from around the world for a once-in-a-lifetime, front-row tickets to the final of the UEFA Champions League 2018/2019 which is going to take place at Metropolitano Stadium on 1 June!

Futwork FC from Futwork Futsal Club, as a runner-up, receive a cash prize of 20,000 baht. Nong Nam Som Wittayakom from Old Town Stadium in Ayutthaya and Western FC from TSB United Academy are two losing teams in semi-final round so they are mutually crowned as third place winners with a cash prize of 10,000 baht for each team. Total prizes offered in this 5-a-side youth football competition is over one million baht.
